MIDLAND - A high school football player and another teenager are accused of raping a 17-year-old girl, authorities said.
Trent Hines, a running back for Lee High School who previously committed to Texas A&M, and Paul Allen Peters face charges of sexual assault. Hines and Peters, both 17, were arrested last week and released after each posted a $25,000 bond.
Authorities say the teenage girl's parents reported their daughter had been assaulted at a Midland home on Dec. 15. The assault was alleged to have happened while the three Lee High School students were at Peters' home, said Hines' attorney, Brian Carney.
Carney said his client denies the allegations.
