This isn’t the typical uniform thread as some might think by the thread title.
I’ve noticed several players from a variety of teams both in college football and in the NFL have a different looking helmet this year rather than the traditional helmet. I think the brand may be Ridell. The face mask openings seem to different than the normal helmets. As mentioned, only a handful here and there seem to be wearing them.
Does this new design have something to do with concussion safety? Are the players wearing them prone to prior concussion diagnosis’? Or is it just a new style that some are going to for the look? I think Westin Wright may have been one of the players wearing this helmet for us yesterday. Maybe Dadrion as well.
