WHAT’S NEW AT JONES AT&T STADIUM FOR 2015?

Fans will experience several new features when Texas Tech opens its 2015 football season on Sept. 5 against Sam Houston State


LUBBOCK, Texas – Fans attending Texas Tech’s 1,000th all-time football game and season opener against Sam Houston State on Saturday, Sept. 5will find several new features at Jones AT&T Stadium.


“Our goal is to make sure that we continue to take every step we can to provide the very best game-day experience for all of our spectators,” Texas Tech Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt said. “Each year I continue to be amazed by the commitment and dedication of our passionate fan base.”


The new features include:


·Ticket office is now located on the East Side of Jones Stadium.

The Texas Tech Athletics Ticket Office has permanently relocated to the East Side of Jones AT&T Stadium. Made possible by the Campaign for Fearless Champions, the new location is between Gates 5 and 6 on the East Side of the Stadium. On game day, fans can now access ticket operations booths on both the East and West Sides of Jones AT&T Stadium.


·New Raider Alley experience.

The return of live music for every game. Fans will be able to stop by Raider Alley starting three hours prior to kickoff to listen to musical acts booked by Caldwell Entertainment. Special appearances each game will include the Masked Rider, Raider Red and the Texas Tech Cheer and Pom squads. In addition, Chick-fil-A will join Fuddruckers in providing food and beverages for fans to enjoy pre-game.


·Upgraded concessions, including the addition of Chick-fil-A inside the stadium.

Fans can now visit Chick-fil-A inside the stadium at two different locations at Gate 3 and Gate 6. In addition, fans will see expanded concession offerings throughout the stadium to include: Asian Heat Hot Dog, Tech Mex Dog, Ultimate Bacon Hot Dog, Tennessee Bourbon Burger, BBQ Bacon Cheese Burger, Bacon Cheese Burger, Veggie Pizza, Bacon Pizza and added flavors to the Dippin Dot’s locations.


·New chairback and bench seating in Stadium.

Over 14,000 new red chairbacks were replaced, along with the majority of bleacher/bleacher back seating at a cost of $3.9 million. The move will provide additional comfort for fans and give Jones AT&T Stadium a brand-new look. The new seating was made possible by the Campaign for Fearless Champions.


·New flat screen televisions on the Concourse Level.

New 43-inch flat screen televisions have been installed on the Concourse Level of Jones AT&T Stadium ensuring that all Texas Tech fans won’t miss any game action.


·Guest relations staff in/around the stadium.

Texas Tech will have 4-6 staff members serving in a guest relations role as fans enter the stadium this year. The guest relations staff will be able to answer any questions, help direct fans to seats and will provide a welcoming environment for all fans.


·Additional Points of Sale, Credit Card Machines at Concession Areas.

With the addition of all new Point of Sale system at all concession areas, fans will see wait times reduced and ability to use credit cards at all point of sale locations.


·Second-year of the Fan Advisory Committee.

For the second year in a row, Texas Tech Athletics has enlisted the assistance of a fan advisory committee to help improve the game day atmosphere. Utilizing a diverse group of fans, the fan advisory group will provide feedback following every game in an attempt to make improvements prior to the next football game.


·More affordable single game ticket pricing.

United Supermarkets and Texas Tech Athletics have partnered to offer $15 tickets for the Red Raiders’ opener against Sam Houston State presented by Texas Tech Federal Credit Union on Saturday, Sept. 5.The $15 tickets are available in select areas at Jones AT&T Stadium.
