I can not recommend these highly enough for anyone that has a boy or girl 5 to 17 years old and wants to take their basketball game to the next level. My 10 year old daughter just completed her first last week and now that her body has had 3 days to rest she wants be to sign her up for the next one which runs August 10-13 in Frisco, TX. The camp runs about 8 hours a day for four days and costs a very reasonable $190. Nancy is there every minute of every day, just as I was (but I was the only parent doing that). Nancy is amazing, she never stops working. She is constantly leading and barking orders to her 20+ coaches and working with the 150-200 campers., giving many motivational speeches to everyone there, playing full court basketball games with no cartilage in one knee against her coaches who are on the average about 30 years younger than her, picking up trash, and taking calls and texts from people as varied as Warren Buffet, Muhammed Ali, Dirk Nowitzki, Tony Romo, and Barrack Obama.
I feel like I made many friends for life there, as did my daughter. It is grueling, tough, and fun for the kids. When they end up getting their autographed picture taken with Nancy and signed with her name and HOF (Hall of Fame) 96. and another picture with all of the campers and coaches in it, it is something they can be proud of for life. As I said in another post titled, "I think I found our next Sheryl Swoopes today", I did find a girl named Mia Deck, who I think was the star of the camp. She was playing against an all boys teams that looked to be older maybe 14-17 and she is just a 13 year old point guard about 5'6 to 5'7. I am still trying to get the Tech coaches to give her AAU games a look starting I believe next week in Frisco, before all of the rest of the colleges jump on board, but I have been receiving emails from her titled. " It's A Great Day to be a Raider." (I guess I should reteach her to say Red Raider, so she doesn't think she is training to be an Oakland Raider) I told her that, after Lady Raider and a coach there Antoinette Iroko came up to me saying that on the second day. Anyone who has any questions about the camp don't hesitate to ask.
