Tech needed to play a virtually perfect game to be in it against Baylor and they played far from perfect.
Mahomes tried to take the team on his back, can't win games like that against #5 team.
Defense had multiple opportunities to make a play and couldn't capitalize. To me and my limited actual football knowledge the safeties look out of position on almost every play.
Like Dickens said the o line looked horrible for the first time this season. WR dropping some big passes that let the game get away.
Team fell apart penalty wise when they were overmatched and struggling to get a first down.
Once again the 2nd half of the football game was a totally different story than the first half.
We have a lot of youth(Tony Brown for example) with tons of talent that just need experience and to keep improving with each game.
I hate Baylor and hate to say this but they looked more like a #1 team to me than anyone I've watched this year. Don't think Ohio State could stay within 3 TD's of them personally.
We are through the worst part of the schedule with 1 win, 1 heartbreaking loss and one pretty good pounding. I'll chalk that up as a positive outcome for expectations.
We shouldn't be expected to be underdogs in any games other than OU and possible WVU from here on out.
Next 2 games are weak opponents and we can hopefully heal up and lick our wounds before heading to Norman.
I expect Tech to bounce back and leave this one in the rear view mirror.
