- First off, the series is now tied at 6-6 all-time against WVU.
- I think this is the first game where there wasn't a back-and-forth "Raider Power" chant between the east and west sides. The blowout led to folks leaving especially students. But this one wasn't the obvious sell-out crowd like the one that will be here next weekend.
- The future of this Red Raider offense shined so bright today. You start with QB Behren Morton. He was in control of the fast-tempo all game and ran it flawlessly. RB Tahj Brooks led in rushing. Xavier White was as good as he has been without Myles Price active. Mason Tharp is a massive tight end that can develop with Morton as the years go by and Jerand Bradley, although it wasn't a stat shining game for him, is also another Morton connection that could develop well. Mix in the likes of Brady Boyd, Nehemiah Martinez and Loic Fouonji - sign me the eff up.
- The defense flat out manhandled the Mountaineer offense. JT Daniels isn't good and Neal Brown is not the answer for them. Shoutout to their fans on the trip back home.
- Another good note is I, and correct me if I'm wrong, didn't see one Red Raider get injured and stay down on the turf. Meanwhile, West Virginia could've been using the sneaky cramp move in the beginning when Tech was just moving on offense rather quickly.
- No Cam'Ron Valdez as expected. We'll ask about that in postgame.
- You're two wins away from bowl eligibility. Kansas, Baylor, Iowa State and Oklahoma really should be close or even secured wins for the Red Raiders looking at how each have competed against one another. TCU is the toughest opponent left on the schedule. I'll be there for that one.
- If it's not broke - don't fix it. I'm all on board the Morton train. I don't see how you go back to a starter, Tyler Shough, who hasn't played since the beginning of the year for the future of the program after a damn good debut despite a loss to Oklahoma State followed by a whooping of West Virginia that was never close. Keep him in and let him work his magic.
