There's no explanation to some of the things going on with this program.
My theory is Kliff knows he's out and he's being loyal to his Senior players as they worked hard for him and they're truly his only class. That's why you see him leaving Nic in over and over again.
Kliff is a loyal guy, and a good person so trying to do his kids right even though it's not right for the program long run.
I think he knows he's done, and isn't trying to save his job as he knows he's out regardless.
There's nothing at all to explain why you'd attempt a FG with a horrible kicking situation at the 2 yard line on senior day vs a ranked opponent. Making it 10-6 doesn't do anything to spark morale in this team.
I think he's trying to build confidence back in the kickers even though he knows he's out.
A coach trying to win the game and save his job isn't kicking that FG. For real, nobody. A coach trying to do kids right and help a struggling player sends him out there to try and get him right moving forward.
Right or wrong, he's not getting the job done and that single play not going for a TD should be the nail in coffin. He's gotta go.
