Beyond the anger and embarrassment, at some point, you have to try and and figure out how the hell this continues to happen?? Year in and out, it's almost impossible....right?
Fact is this, as much as he has grown into his role, and as hard as he works, until our HC is an actual HC and puts as much effort into team defense as offense, this is where we will stay. He doesn't coach the team as a whole, and it shows.
Leach did the same thing, but hit on some decent DLineman, some consistency at DC and had some serviceable years.
So, as it stands, unless our HC decides to focus on the mentality of the whole team and how offense and defense and special teams work TOGETHER and our HC sees the game from all angles, we are going to continue to see video game numbers on either side of the ball. While entertaining at some points, in the end, it's unacceptable.....just like tonight.
