I figure I'm well overdue for some shameless self-promotion;-). I dropped a new single last month, 2 versions of the tune actually. The song is "City Walls", and it's been a good one for me. I recently shot a music video for it too, filmed in Abilene and Fort Worth. Several years back, I started developing some fictional characters named Jimmy & Maddie, who grew up on the Eastern edge of West Texas in a rural setting. They were long time love birds until Maddie acquired a taste for city life and ultimately left her West Texas roots and moved to DFW. Jimmy did everything he could to keep it alive, but in the end, they were moving different directions and he had to make some tough decisions. This tune "City Walls" is the bookend to their saga, but if you were to go rabbit hole on my songwriting, you'll find signs of them in several tunes I've released.
