The MLB Draft gets going at 6 p.m. tonight. Tech's Kevin Bazzell might have a shot to get picked tonight, the first two rounds including competitive balance picks.
Other Tech related names I'm watching over the next three days:
-Junior RHP Kyle Robinson: Robinson had a very strong showing at the MLB Draft Combine about a month ago and likely will get picked sometime this weekend but we will see about his sign-ability.
-Junior 3B Cade McGee: A lot of late buzz for McGee over the last month. Probably will get selected at some point this week, maybe on day three but we will see.
-Incoming Freshman OF Jace Souza: This is the blue chip piece of the recruiting class out of Hawaii, the brother of Arkansas' Nolan Souza. Souza is viewed as someone who has the bat to compete for a starting spot next spring, so Tech really wants him to get to campus.
Should be interesting to follow along.
