There was no "media" in ancient Rome and Rome controlled more territory than but a handful of empires and none lasted anything like so long or been unchallenged by serious competitors. Yet at the height of Roman dominance Hadrian (one of the more famous Emperors (built Hadrian's Wall) had about 1200 civilian administrators as compared to 30,000 administrators (think bureaucrats) under Constantine (founder of the Catholic Church) so about 20 times the number of bureaucrats and that number is tiny compared to America which is only a few years short of being 250 years old.
We will fail as a country in time as we are being choked to death by government and a "free" press who is in meltdown as if Trump does succeed then the liberal progressive agenda is dead.
