Rough one, obviously.
McGuire opening statement:
"It's hard to win a game with five turnovers, you know it's eight the last two weeks. Frustrating there have to go back and see exactly some of them. For that one on our first drive, we're fixing to score a touchdown and we mishandeled the snap on the mesh. There's a lot of frustration in that locker room, I hate it for those guys."
McGuire on penalties & turnovers:
"The turnovers were really big, the penalties, I'll have to see. But the biggest thing is the turnovers in just like you think about the momentum swing. I think we gave up 13 points off the turnovers. And then the momentum swing on the two plays to where they stop us on forth down because we can't handle the snap and the mesh. And then you turn around and you know really on the very same play. We do the same thing, fumble and they recovered in the end zone for a touchdown."
On low snaps:
"I think we we've had some, you know that you go back throughout the year we've had some. Late in the game we were getting ready to make a change if we had another true series. Rusty got banged up, we felt like he was okay, but it's his snap arm. It's tough when you have low snaps when you're in the gun trying to decide to hand it off or throw it."
On turnovers this season:
"I think the turnovers have been, we went through a spell, you know, we didn't have many. I don't know if we had any against Houston and you know, kind of have spent in the last two weeks we've had eight."
On Jake Strong:
"It's tough. You know, it's tough to put a freshman in that situation. But I mean, we've got to take care of the ball better. And, you know, that's a mixture of all of us. You know, we'll see some of those whether it's play call, whether it's timing, whether it's the route that's being run. So it's tough, tough to evaluate whenever we have three interceptions."
On frustrations as a whole:
"It's a frustrating thing, we've had nine guys that we thought they would start this season and they weren't playing tonight. It's not an excuse and they're gonna kick the ball off a couple of weeks and hopefully we get some guys back. Whoever's in the game, we've got to do a better job of putting them in the best position to win the game. We've got to do better as coaches."
