It hit me earlier that three of Mahomes' first nine career starts will come against top five teams -- BU in 2014, TCU and Baylor this year -- and it got me wondering about his predecessors.

Graham Harrell didn't face his third top five opponent until his 35th career start. Wow. Others: Seth Doege 18 starts, Kliff Kingsbury 16 starts, Sonny Cumbie 12 starts.
