I ran across Gary Bartel the other week and during the course of the conversation I informed him that I encountered a fellow who had been a student assistant coach along with him under Steve Sloan. He said that was strange since he was the only student assistant coach for football in 1975 under Sloan. He then said that he served as a graduate assistant in 1976 and 1977, and that there were no student assistants who were either Saddle Tramps or matching ttuno1/mattador/Patriot's name.
I then informed him that he could not be correct since ttuno1/mattador/Patriot persistently insist that he was Steve Sloan's Golden Boy and that he was a vital member of the coaching staff who was used extensively for player evaluations for not only athletic ability but character issues. He laughed and said that student assistants are glorified go-fers. I then informed him that could not be the case with ttuno1/mattador/Patriot because he sat in on film sessions and skull sessions and was consistently questioned by Sloan about what he should do not only pertaining to football strategies but player personnel and recruiting decisions.
I then showed him ttuno1/mattador/Patriot's post about how he physically and athletically dominated him and his teammates on the football field. Well, needless to say, that did not go over well with him. He accused ttuno1/mattador/Patriot of being a liar and a fraud amongst other things. He said that there was not one guy on campus who could physically and athletically dominate them on the football field muchless some random blowhard with a big mouth. He said that if any such individual did exist that he would have known about him.
ttuno1/mattador/Patriot can you get Prevost and Art Briles to back your story up, since he and Art Briles were your best friends, so I can prove to Gary that you were actually there doing all the things you brag about, but that he simply never noticed you around the coaching offices, locker room, practice fields, and Jones Stadium?
