The history of Texas Tech football tells us that we rarely put together a season that is a legitimate contender for a title. We have had a few good seasons under various coaches but by and large we are basically a poor to mediocre program. I am not sure why that is. Maybe it is great recruits don’t consistently want to come to Lubbock. Again we have certainly had a few but not enough to sustain a consistent program. Even our best coaches have not been great. Leach kept us in many games and was unique in his approach but we never really got over the hump except for a couple of seasons. We are a pair of old brown shoes that we can spit polish for a few nice dates but the dates almost always end with the girl going home with someone else...
I don’t know what the **** I am saying...I am so lost and frustrated with this program...I’d like us to be better but I don’t think we will ever get there...
