Kyler Edwards recently deleted his tweet that stated he was returning to Texas Tech with him saying "RR4L". He later went on to like a tweet that had him originally going into the portal from April 1st. Now with him remaining in the portal, it seems as though it's a situation of Kyler or Mac and not both returning to the program.
Clarification: Kyler never removed his name from the portal even after he announced he was returning. So technically he never "re-added" his name to the portal. They updated his posting time earlier and Kyler is still listed as available in the portal. In other words, Kyler hasn't taken his name out of the portal yet. For reference, Marcus Santos-Silva has taken his name out of the portal.
