good morning, @B. Golan and I attended the Rivals Camp in Dallas over the weekend
the camp was well attended and included a handful of Texas Tech 2026 commitments, including Amarillo Tascosa defensive tackle Krush Johnson
the audio from my end is kind of bad, but we had Krush mic'd up and you can clearly hear his responses...just let me know if you have any questions
Johnson talked about the camp, his relationship with the TTU coaches, official visit plans and more
from my standpoint, Krush did great at the camp but it did take him a few reps to get into the swing of things...mainly jumping offsides, but I chalk that up to nerves for the most part. Johnson measured in at 6-foot-2, 276-pounds and still has a full year of high school left, so I really like his frame and where he is at development wise.
there is always the idea that kids from West Texas do not compete against the caliber of athlete found in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, but I believe Krush and other kids from West Texas in attendance absolutely held their own and proved they belonged against the best of the best.
