...how to manage a game.
I will never complain about scoring in 22 seconds or scoring at all, even if every drive is less than 2 minutes. But when you see your defense starting to struggle, you have to give them an opportunity to get composed. The 3 and outs killed us and that is mainly because he refused to run the ball and we hardly threw the ball over the middle.
Obviously defense has to make their stops but the first 3 out of 4 drives they did and the 5th one should of been a fumble taken down to ASU's red zone. Our defense came out to play but you could see the heat and the exhaustion kick in and they began to be a step behind on everything.
I still think our defense has potential and will be better.
Oh and it is going under mentioned how good of game the ASU OC called and how well Wilkins played. I don't remember him making many mistakes at all last night...
