They held the forum last week in Washington DC. The presentations were pretty good for the most part. There was widespread consensus between the experts that contributed that the existing floating exchange rate monetary system is flawed and needs to be changed. Most everyone there sees the imbalances building up in the present system as problematic over time.
Of course the hard part is getting consensus on how to change it and mustering the political will to change anything these days with the political landscape so divided. But there are some interesting ideas out there to consider.
