I’m going to post a full story in the morning, but wanted to share some notes from our convo tonight....
-Mooney confirmed that Tech, Creighton, and Northwestern are in fact his finalists. He’ll visit Tech on Tuesday and will then make a decision sometime next week after he’s done in Lubbock.
-Mooney really likes the motion, played in it at South Dakota, and he REALLY likes how Tech wants him to split time playing the 1 and 2. He’s fully on board with the idea of positionless basketball. Creighton wants him to be a 2 guard, and Northwestern wants him to run the point.
-Tech’s postseason run, who they bring in talent-wise, and who returns from last year’s team are all reasons why he likes the Red Raiders.
