First I want to say that I wasn't able to watch the game because of a wedding, but the ESPN app was decently updated. Got a chance to see the highlights and stats today.
One thing jumped out at me. Take a look at the drive chart;

2. TTU 3 Plays 32 yards - TOUCHDOWN
3. TTU 1 play 75 yards - TOUCHDOWN
4. TTU 6 plays 10 yards - PUNT
5. TTU 9 plays 75 yards - TOUCHDOWN
6. TTU 7 plays 77 yards - TOUCHDOWN
7. TTU 7 plays 76 yards - TOUCHDOWN
8. TTU 9 plays 45 yards - END OF HALF
9. TTU 5 plays 20 yards - PUNT
10. TTU 6 plays 86 yards - TOUCHDOWN
11. TTU 7 plays 29 yards - TOUCHDOWN
12. TTU 6 plays 28 yards - PUNT
13. TTU 2 plays 41 yards - TOUCHDOWN
14. TTU 7 plays 91 yards - TOUCHDOWN
15. Tech Kneels out the clock.
9 Touchdowns, 1 field goal, 3 punts, two end of halves.
This offense is a helluva lot of fun to watch. I know that our defense gets bashed because of statistics and yards, etc. But I don't think that David Gibbs should ever go one meeting without reiterating, "Let's just get the ball back to our offense."
The rest of the year comes down to this; I really went into the game with Baylor telling myself that we had to play mistake free football to even come close.
That is the mentality that I see the rest of the Big 12 taking into each week against the Red Raiders. Davis was also burned at the stake for forcing passes last year, but the bottom line is he felt he had to score every single time we had the ball. If we can continue to pressure opposing offenses to play very clean football, almost forcing them to overthink offensive drives, we have an awesome chance to win every football game.
"Hey guys let's play smart here, don't wanna give the ball back to Patrick Mahomes and that offense", is a really bad situation to be in as a head coach or offensive coordinator.
Really looking forward to the rest of the season guys.
