Let's talk lists of coaches to call.

My List (in no particular order):
  1. *Chip Kelly, former Oregon HC - currently not working, offensive genius, teams also played great D and produced boatloads of NFL players
  2. Dave Aranda, LSU DC - everyone knows him and knows why but, not sure we can afford him
  3. Scott Frost, UCF HC - will have his choice of jobs this off-season
  4. Bud Foster, VT DC - one of the best CFB DCs ever
  5. Matt Campbell, ISU HC - if we can't lure him (or someone as talented as him) away, he's going to permanently cement ISU ahead of us in the conf. pecking order like GP & The Mullet have before him...not sure he wants to leave ISU either
  6. Derek Mason, Vandy HC - talented and respected Defensive mind and recruiter, stuck under the SEC glass ceiling
  7. Matt Canada, LSU OC - started slow at LSU but his offenses have always been creative, balanced & very dangerous
  8. Matt Candle, Toledo HC - was OC under current ISU HC Matt Campbell and has continued that success
  9. *Ruffin McNeil, OU analyst - We all know (and love) him, knows the landscape, fanbase, program and conference. Has HC experience and now intimate knowledge of the most successful football program in Big-12 history
  10. Chad Morris, SMU HC - talented offensive mind with Texas ties (may get a shot at his dream job A&M)
  11. Frank Wilson, UTSA HC - widely regarded as one of the best recruiters in all of CFB
  12. Ted Roof, GT DC - coached on some excellent staffs (Auburn NC team, PSU, Minn) and against tops teams in the SEC, BIG10 and ACC
  13. Morgan Scalley, Utah DC - very respected recruiter, came up under Whittingham's staff as Safeties coach, recruiting coordinator, etc.
  14. Jim Leonhard, Wiscy DC - Coached under current Cal HC J Wilcox, tutored under D Aranda, played on one of the best defensive programs in NFL history (Ravens)
Red = Make them tell you "No."
Black = Should be within your means...assuming there's mutual interest.
Blue = May be too early/reaches
