I was asked an honest and very fair question as to why evolution matters so much to me and esp as a Christian. They think I do more harm than good by not compromising etc. The answer is actually too long to answer in all the research I have done. Jesus nor Apostles never did. Read the reasons.
Basically it deals with this. Once Genesis and creation is discredited then the whole Bible and Jesus fall with it. The Bible claims total inerrancy. So either it is or isn't. Its whole validity and esp Jesus depends on it and esp since Jesus validates creation Himself. So either He is false and a liar or He is who He claims to be and He told the truth about everything. Of course He is the creator Himself Colossians first chapter.
So I have given two links that have multiple links to various articles that deal with why it is so important a topic and esp for Christians and compromise. Esp those articles written by Dr. John Sarfarti.
So look and read which ever you choose. If you truly care to know why it is so important. It can and will be very eye opening for almost everyone on here if you actually take the time to read.
