if they continue to be dominated by schools that would starve had the big 12 not hung together. Let's face it, that contract is not getting renewed and ESPN knows they made a mistake. The contract of a pac 16 would be more revenue and help offset what they would give up from the lhn. The lhn is an embarrassment and I think in hindsight they know one program can't have it's own channel.
The key is tcu and Baylor being in a lesser conference would dry up their funding and recruiting really fast. You may wait a few more years till grant of rights and lhn deal are closer to maturity but I can't imagine UT allowing theses tiny private schools to keep blowing their doors off and embarrassing them much longer. Not to mention aggie being the biggest program in the state. You need the pac 16 to help sway recruits from the sec. The pac really needs to get its games in the central time zone to increase viewership.
