So, after reading everyone raving about this place, my family headed over there this morning for a try. We live out near Rockwall in Heath, so it's about 25-30 minutes- but worth every bit of the drive! The donuts......good Lord, best we've all ever had- that's coming from three kids under 10 and myself. We tried several and took several home (for further review obviously).
The Maui Waui is probably the best donut I've ever had! If you like coconut you won't regret this bad boy. I was actually sad as I got to the last bite. I then tried a couple bites of the Blueberry Cake, Chocolate Cake w/ Chocolate, and the Pumpkin Spice. The last one is seasonal, but damn good stuff! Lastly, I tried the Kaye chicken biscuit that had a slight spice to it. Very good chicken biscuit, but I was craving more donuts!
Thank God I don't live near that place or I'd be a fat ass. Had to workout double today just to make myself feel better. The kids have been asking when we can go back, probably have to make a monthly trip there (for the little ones of course). I don't know or remember who owns the place, but you've hit it out of the park! Congrats and glad to see a fellow Red Raider doing well at their craft! Keep up the great work and I'd strongly recommend the place to anyone!
