- Texas Tech: Taco Tech barely takes the lead over Texas since we are finally in the same conference again. Stepping over Tech would be huge for recruitment, state pride, and would fuel the rivalry hate and fan engagement. What scares me?
- Tech’s NIL ($25,000 for all players + opportunity for private NIL deals)
- Tech’s donor money and alumni size.
- Tech’s new massive facility upgrade. I hate to say it but it is probably the best “current” stadium renovation which includes the largest athletic facility in the country. NIL is still king in recruiting but facilities are second.
- Joey McGuire is huge in the Texas football world and has recruited Houston very well over the last two seasons.
- Tech has signed with Adidas and will feature Patrick Mahomes created and branded uniforms. This will help them a lot in recruiting."
