We're now seeing big surges in many states. Hospital are seeing rapid increases in hospitalizations and ICU rooms are filling up. So now the president says we should consider herd immunity. That's absurd. To get to 60% of the population would require over 100 million more infections.
He's been claiming for months that we are close to a successful treatment as well as a vaccine by the first of the year. Was he knowingly lying again? It would be beyond stupid to infect 100 million if you can postpone the spread for a couple more months if you can postpone the spread for a few more months. Looking at his recent rallies he obviously doesn't give a damn about masks and social distancing so I guess he's already promoting herd immunity.
