Help with FreeNAS

I tend tinker around with PC stuff at home and recently dedicated a old laptop to FreeNAS in my home network. I have since built a PC with more power dedicated to the NAS. Since I got into FreeNAS initially, I would like to stick with it. FreeNAS 11.2-U4 is the current version as of a couple days ago. That said, documented tutorials for various installs of plugins are either non-existent, difficult to find, or outdated to much older versions of FreeNAS. Does anyone have experience with this OS and willing to lend some pointers?

I'm wanting to get CouchPotato, Transmission, ClamAV, NextCloud, etc working properly. I must be missing a step or two.
