14 months ago Red Raiders from all over the country were able to forget about the problems of the world for a week and unite together in this great city to cheer on our beloved men's basketball team. I can't tell you how many locals have told me that our fans were like none they have ever seen.
Just a side note:
For those of you who weren't aware, we all have a connection to George Floyd. He was a native Texan who started TE on the 1992 Houston Yates Football squad that went to the Texas State Championship. He attended Texas A&I in Kingsville as well. Let's pray that his life is not defined by this tragedy and instead helps bring Americans together.
