When HOB puts its talent to work on some productions they are not only first rate but accurate. I recently watched their 2 shows The Gathering Storm and Into the Storm, each about an hour long and these short shows truly give the audience a good glimpse into Winston. I have read Winston's books, a lot of his speeches and many biographies of him (the best being the trilogy by William Manchester The Last Lion) and these two shows do a good job. One of the most outstanding productions HBO ever did was the 2 part series ROME which if you are interested at all in ROME you should get. ROME also stays true to history while wrapping the story around two fictional characters, but that aside takes you to ancient ROME and you get a good feel for the period. (HOB's ROME is set at the time of Civil war and the beginning of the Empire and fall of the Republic)
