Why would the Big 12, ACC or group of five agree to this? All this would do is ensure two Big 10 and two SEC teams get the byes and ensure at least 4 of those teams in the final 8. While the other lesser SEC and Big 10 teams battle it out with the ‘other 3’ in the opening round.
This has all the smell of the SEC/Big 10 trying to knock out the other conferences in the first round and make it all about them.
Yormark and whoever the ACC commish are stupid af if they agree to this. It should be shot down by at least 3 commissioners and definitely not come close to reaching unanimous consent.
