The Midland/Odessa shooter failed a background check for a gun purchase according to the FBI. It's a good thing for him, and people like him, that Republicans want him to be able to buy from gun shows and private citizens with no background check, and refuse to close the loopholes. Not so lucky for victims though.
Now they still don't know where he got his weapon, but the fact its possible for him to legally purchase at gun shows is pathetic. But hey, why close the loophole? Because apparently the only way we can have gun laws is if they stop 100% of any possible crimes. Funny how gun nuts don't make this argument about any other law....at all.....ever.
