Listened to Coach Gerlich talk about the women’s team at the 1923 society breakfast. Biggest attendance I’ve seen there. She dropped some nuggets on challenges the first two years, NIL, and what she’s looking to do this year on offense.
Sports wise - Tech won against a top 25 team in 2OT at home. Meanwhile UT, UH, Baylor, and A&M lost.
Met miss Debbie McGuire before the game. She was amazingly nice! And she’s designed a shirt…
Met Spencer Tillman this morning on the way to the airport. He’s a HUGE McGuire, DeReuter, and Kittley fan. Called them rockstars (and repeated it on twitter). Said he loved the run fitments on our defense and thought we were undersized but playing like a top 25 D. I’ve had problems with his takes on Tech in the past — but in person the dude could not have been nicer.
Plus got to spend some time with our son (soph) - and he and his GF rushed the field.
