Gov. Greg Abbott limits counties to one absentee ballot drop-off location, bolstering GOP efforts to restrict voting
Harris County which is 1,777 sq miles and has a population over 4.7+ million people good enough for the 3rd most populated county in the entire country will now get one drop off location rather than twelve. All the 65+ and disabled people that can actually vote by absentee who want to make sure their vote gets in on time by will have one ballot drop-off location.
Likewise in rural Brewster Country which is over three times the size of the state of Delaware gets one drop box for all the elderly and disabled people to drop their absentee ballots off at.

Greg Abbott threw the weight of his office Thursday behind Republican efforts to limit options for Texas voters who want to hand-deliver their completed absentee ballots for the November election — a rebuke to some large, Democratic counties that have set up multiple drop-off locations in what they call an effort to maximize voter convenience.
