Way too much negativity on the forums. You won a Big 12 game tonight vs an in-state rival. No it wasn't perfect, but they hardly are. You're now 3-0 against TCU, Baylor and Houston which matters.
- Behren Morton looked back and healthy. That's going to give you a shot in the final 3 games. The most important thing was no turnovers, which is a huge difference from the last few weeks.
- Tahj Brooks and the offensive line battled tonight. TCU started loading up against the run and it was some tough sledding in the second half, but 31 carries for 146 yards. Workhorse.
- The receivers started really poorly with some drops and bad blocking but I thought Coy Eakin, Xavier White, Myles Price and the guys bounced back. Some really good blocking on those WR screens as it got later in the game.
- The defense was in several favorable positions but gave up way too many 3rd and longs. Need to clean that up. The two turnovers were good (probably should have had 4 or 5), as was the run defense.
- Down 21-20, we all felt that "here we go again" feeling that we've all seen way too many times in the last 14 or so years. This team stood tall and said "not today" to come away with the win. That matters.
- Find a way to win 2 of the last 3 and make a bowl game. Reload with an excellent recruiting class and try to keep your QB healthy in 2024. This season hasn't gone to anyone's liking but it's not too late to somewhat salvage it.
