My oldest son is turning 11 on Monday and I feel like it’s time that I stop buying him senseless toys and start getting him meaningful gifts that he’ll treasure for his lifetime. What are some gifts your dad got you that you still have today when you were that age range?
I’ve thought of getting him his first pocket knife or a 410 or .22, but he’s no where near responsible to have those things. I’ve also thought of a nice fishing gear setup, but I’m not sure how often that would get used in the next couple years given he has two other much younger brothers that prevent me getting much alone time with him.
He much like his generation and doesn’t go outside unless I force him to. I’m blank on ideas at the moment.
