I was at a recent party and there was a very tall man there. Got to visiting. He was ex TE for Art Briles.
He said he played 4 years and won state chap there.
Said Art would go to the elementary and Jr. High coaches and ask them to run 23 plays each practice. Then do what they wanted.
Sort of the old Odessa Permian way. So by the time the kids get to high school they are very effective.
He said Briles always wanted to be Head Coach at Tech. He said Art was very creative .
He said Little Briles was even more creative and not really that good a player but looked good in high school because of the above 23 plays.
He said Art was shady back then and had someone, and he named him, to clean up the messes.
Now to TCU, we have contact on Mich Staff, family friend. He was ex SEC coach and says Mich is very worried about TCU speed.
Next we have info from a recent private dinner with Sonny D and some big big donors. Sonny said he could not predict victory but he thought they would be competitive. So we will see. Guns Up ! Hubcity
