From 1 to 10 = slimiest to cleanest

Baylor--while they have some competition for the top spot, I have got to go with the Bears. We know they have a few players who fit the list of 'most slimy', but their coaches, their admin, the cover ups--it just all goes to earn them the top award.

TCU--some might think they earned the top spot, and 2-3 years ago it would have been a much closer contest with Baylor, but I believe TCU is #2. At least when Patterson has no other option but to either kick off the team or suspend for some period, he has done what he needed to do. Not every time--no, no. But lately, he has done it enough to keep him out of first. And really, who but Briles and Co. deserve first place?

Ok State--This pick may be controversial, but I just don't like their head guy, and that greatly influences my vote. Plus, they are blatant copy cats (sincerest form of flattery? I don't think so). We know that they have pulled a bunch of strings to get kids into school and to keep them in school (and everyone does that to a degree, but Ok Std wrote the book on it). The arrest record does not compare with Baylor or TCU, and I can't justify moving them up. But I dislike their coach almost as much as I dislike 1(a) Briles and 1(b) Patterson.
WVU--Ok, I don't have any hard and fast evidence that Holgerson does anything slimy. But they are so far away, I don't believe they deserve the benefit of the doubt. Holgerson is actually one of my favorite coaches among our competitors head guy, but I also think that he is not above a cover up.

OU--They may well belong above WVU. I think they are cry babies, but that doesn't make them slimy. I know that in the past they have had some real doozies from a slime factor standpoint, but we don't hear as much these days. Either way, OU deserves to be in the top five.

UT--These guys would go a little higher, but I really do believe that Charlie Strong is a good guy, and has shown that by kicking kids off the team. But their wealthy fans would do anything they need to in order to get back to winning championships. Yes, UT has had a gazillion football players have legal problems, and they all seem to go away, but that has been under a different regime. If they were all that dirty, they would be winning more games.

Tech--Ouch. I only put us here because I can't believe that Snyder would cheat and think he is an honorable guy. I don't know enough about Kansas to have an opinion, and Iowa St....well, they will be next. But on to Tech. I think Kliff is honest, and has high standards. While he has been around the block (how can some of the slime from SEC football not rub off?), I believe he has kept his hands pretty clean. We have had very few legal issues with our kids since he has been on board, and I know they talk a lot with the kids about what is expected of them. I believe that the kids have so much respect for Kliff and his staff that they don't want to disappoint.

Iowa State--Not much here, really. If they are slimy, it sure isn't helping them win ballgames.

Kansas--I could use the same quote here for Iowa State, and these two could easily be interchangeable. I guess I put Iowa State ahead of Kansas just because their coach is so emotional about the team, one wonders whether he would look the other way if a booster was out a few bucks.

Kansas St--Bill Snyder. He is good for the conference.
