A good friend of mine from college has a two year old daughter named Mae that is battling cancer. She had a Wilms tumor removed from one of her kidneys and was proceeding with chemo when she developed a bowel obstruction that is going to require several surgeries. The family lives in upstate New York, but the surgeries will require an extended hospital stay in Boston Children's Hospital. Jason and his wife are both self employed and I am honestly not sure what their insurance situation is.
