Cops were called (on the non-emergency number, 311) by a neighbor when he noticed a door had been ajar for a while. He asked for a welfare check. Body cam footage shows the entire encounter (no body or anything, nothing gory) if you care to watch, but it is a disgusting example of police negligence.
I'd love to have a few questions answered here:

I'd love to have a few questions answered here:
- Why the hell are they sneaking around the house instead of knocking on the front door and saying "Police, is everything alright?". This was a non-emergency call.
- Even if they do decide to walk around the property and peek in windows, why the hell are they not announcing themselves every few seconds?
- The cop screams "Get your hands up, show me your hands",having never once identified himself as a police officer, and fires a shot before he even finishes the sentence, giving her no time to comply or even register what is going on. What the hell is he thinking?
- Again, this is a non-emergency, why does he have his gun drawn in the first place?
