For the sake of the United States, Trump, just resign

Trump is so far out of his league that I ALMOST feel sorry for him. For all his bombast and cockiness, he had not idea what he was stepping into. He thought being president would be like getting a real cool job on The Apprentice.

He has ripped this country apart in 200 days like no president in modern history. The only thing he has is his extremist base, of which the 30% would support him as he said in the campaign, even if he killed someone on Fifth Avenue.

He is completely neutered as a leader. He is incapable of governing, incapable of getting legislation passed, incapable of being anything but a daily embarrassment and now emboldening the white supremacist movement. It's a revolving door in his inner circle and on councils. The huge majority of Americans, including his own party, have no confidence in him because he's a serial liar. It's not going to get better.

There is nothing -- nothing -- that Mike Pence couldn't do, and do it 10 times better without all the drama. There would be a huge amount of healing with Pence in the Oval Office.

Trump doesn't need the job, and it's obvious this country doesn't need Trump. Cut the country's losses. It's time to admit the experiment of Any Jackass Could Be President has failed. We can ride this thing out with Pence.

Ah, a man can dream, can't he?
