I've confirmed this afternoon that Texas Tech pitcher Dylan Dusek is having Tommy Johns surgery this afternoon. Unfortunate for sure, as he'll more than likely miss the entire 2016 baseball season.
I think the coaching staff feels good about it, though, and they feel Dylan may be a better pitcher in the long run as a result. With the freshman class they have several really talented pitchers coming in that could've played in the MLB, so I think that softens the blow a bit, too.
But still, unfortunate news for both Tech and Dusek, and we wish him a good recovery.
