I'm 50. I've been watching the news for as long as I can remember. Every year, every year there is some portion of the country under drought conditions.

The news reports on these every year as if it's some sort of national claimity and, more importantly, as if it's the first drought that area has ever faced and it's the worst drought ever in the history of the world.

Am I the only person in the country that has any since of perspective? That drought is a part of nature and has been for millions of years and that when one part of the country is seeing drought conditions another part is not or may even be in a time of plenty?

I was just watching Face the Nation (I know it's quite a liberal show and network) but politicization of the weather is just reaching absurd levels.

Anyway, I know the answers to these questions I just needed to have an old man rant on this 4th of July.

I hope a of you are doing well and have a great day. Happy 4th.
