NSIAP: Dr. Bill Dean was given a special recognition by Congressman Jodey Arrington on the House Floor in honor of Dean's 80th birthday. The legacy of students he has taught and mentored could never be measured. I was fortunate to take a class from him as an undergrad and then also work with him as a colleague later on. The fundamental lessons I learned in that course still resonate today. A normal part of a day in Raiderland for years and years included seeing Bill jogging around campus at lunch time (who knows, it may still happen today). No wonder it's hard to believe he is 80.
Between all the hats he has worn/still wears, it would be staggering to know the exact number of the thousands of Red Raiders he has taught, advised, encouraged and inspired. Happy Birthday Dr. Dean!! May we all "Bear our banners far and wide" and "Strive for honor evermore"
