I am going to miss seeing him in our Red and Black next year and I am enjoying watching him play every snap of this year.
From his 100+ yard strip and score versus Texas to his senior season he has been a ball hawk and magnet. His 8 career interceptions has him needing just 2 more to tie for 7th all-time with Ryan Aycock, Kevin Curtis and Darcel McBath. He also has 3 career fumble recoveries and 2 career defensive touchdowns.
Sentimentally, he reminds me of my days in the student section cheering on a guy named Marcus Coleman.
Cheers to another great Red Raider playmaker. I hope some NFL team gives him a chance to keep playing a game that he loves and excels at. I hope we get to witness some more Doug Coleman magic in the coming weeks. He has absolutely become one of my favorites.
