Although the Red Raiders have achieved bowl-eligible status, not everyone on the team is all smiles.
Texas Tech defensive back Derrick Dixon took to Twitter, according to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, during the Red Raiders' 59-44 win over Kansas State on Saturday and posted a series of tweets to share his disappointments with the world.
Dixon was voicing his frustrations with the team after being sidelined for the majority of the season for what coach Kliff Kingsbury has described as "family issues" during post-practice media sessions.
Since the outburst, Dixon's Twitter account is no longer active or searchable.
Prior to the win against the Wildcats, Dixon returned briefly for Texas Tech's 66-31 loss against Oklahoma State on Oct. 31, according to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.
"Say what you want to say but I'm not happy here,"
"Bro I want to play football again this school taking me for granted,"
"Tired of sitting back and watching knowing the talent that I have,"
"True freshman last year to not even traveling,"
"Say what you want to say but I'm not happy here," Dixon tweeted.
According to the Avalanche-Journal, a Texas Tech spokesperson has confirmed Dixon remains with the team although his status for Tech's final game of the season against Texas is uncertain.
The Skyline product made 11 appearances, including two starts, and recorded 21 tackles as a true freshman for Texas Tech last season. Dixon has appeared in three games during the 2015 season.
