I’ve been pretty excited about the new 14K seat Dickies Arena that recently opened in Ft. Worth and my wife and I got to check it out last night for a George Strait concert. It’s a nice venue and the upper deck seats looked to have good view and not be too high up.
I mention this for two reasons:
1) Beard mentioned to a group of us in FW recently that they’re looking to do a game in DFW (either Dickies Arena or AAC) against a big time opponent such as Gonzaga or Michigan State. I think that Dickies Areva at 14K would be perfect size. I worry that AAC might be too big.
2) Dickies Arena will be hosting 1st / 2nd round tournament games in March ‘22. Hopefully we can rebuild that year after Burnett and Peavy go pro after helping us win the natty in ‘21.
