So, multiple sources have confirmed to me that an incident occurred last night that led to Bronson Boyd attacking Will Farrar. The incident resulted in injury of some kind to Farrar.
We've reached out to Texas Tech for comment on the situation, and we've decided to hold off on any more details until they have a chance to respond.
We will let you all know as soon as we can confirm anything else or hear anything else.
3:47 p.m.: We have not heard back from Texas Tech on this and, at this point, I'm guessing the athletic department won't have much in the way of an official comment on the incident. It seems safe to say that Bronson Boyd's status with the football program is in question. The good news is that Will Farrar is okay and expected to fully recover. We will continue to monitor the situation.
4:45 p.m.: Texas Tech has confirmed with us that Bronson Boyd is no longer with the football program. More as we know it.
4:55 p.m.: News and word of this is starting to get out, and we've been able to confirm a few more details, as some have mentioned. During an altercation, Boyd apparently attacked Farrar with a knife, cutting his face open. Farrar is okay, as we mentioned earlier. Again, Boyd is no longer with the team.
