So....if Gods exist...then so do their demons...Christians believe a fallen angel THE DEVIL can get into your soul and make you do bad things.
I would think that all of us here (I am not aware of any Hindus on this board) know that the Monkey god or his mother Shiva are not real......we all know they are silly and made up by humans 6000 years before the Ancient Jewish warrior god. All of us also know that Pele was never real or Thor or Poseidon or ...on and on.....but we will accept as a god an unknown Jewish peasant who we have no contemporary evidence for...? Why do humans accept their local religion when in todays world of cell phones cars and on and on we know we have no evidence for silly creatures?
Causation.....and how many of us have the slightest idea what causation is?
WHY is knowledge of science so weak with us but we use it? every day?
Human history is about man's inhumanity to man....we are animals. We make up supernatural beings to explain the world or try and scare us into behaving or promise us eternal life....why in today's world do so many humans still cling to their local religion? Why is it so hard for them to accept that there is no evidence? why are someones religion and politics supposedly "off limits" and we are told from birth to "respect' ??? your neighbor believes in nonsense and we are to "respect" that? why not laugh at them and educate them ? How do we do that with an Islamist?? A whacko foot washing Baptist or some cray Mormon? Or all kinds of whacko beliefs?
