I've noticed that David Gibbs has said he just watched the Sam Houston film today in pretty much every interview since that game. He hasn't really let it go that they got blitzed. This week I think he said something about not being very good last time we played a spread. But after halftime I remember them coming out and playing pretty well. They gave up some late points but it was late and the entire team didn't finish.
Since halftime things have kept improving. Held UTEP to 227 on 46 carries and it probably should have been more. The next week on the road, against better athletes 228 on 43 carries. The longest run the defense gave up to Arkansas? 26 yards.
After getting trucked for 317 on 46 carries for 5 rushing TDs and a long of 47, the Tech defense has allowed 5 total TDs. Only 2 rushing TDs! Zero in the second half.
I'm anxious to see us against TCU.
